Welcome to Meetmate, an application operated by Meetmate Group LLC. Our goal is to connect people and facilitate meetings for specific activities.
By using our application, you agree to these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you should not use the app.

What is Meetmate?
​
Meetmate is a platform that allows users to explore an interactive map, select categories of interest, and connect with others to carry out activities at nearby locations.
The app is exclusively designed for individuals aged 18 and older. Use by minors is strictly prohibited, as is the creation of false accounts or multiple accounts linked to the same phone number.

Account Registration
​
To use Meetmate, you must register by providing the following information:

Full name.

A valid email address.

A phone number.

At least one profile picture.

Between 10 and 30 personal interests.
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account. Meetmate is not liable for any consequences if unauthorized access occurs due to negligence in protecting your credentials.
How Meetmate Works:

Once registered, you will have access to an interactive map showing your current location. You can select one of the nine available categories (cafes, ice cream shops, restaurants, bars, beaches, malls, burger joints, pizzerias, and hangout spots) to explore up to 30 nearby locations within a 3000-meter radius.

You can send or accept invitations to meet. When an invitation is accepted or sent, one Meetcoin will automatically be deducted from both users involved.
​
Additionally, you can create events, form specific communities, and chat with other users to coordinate meetings.
​
Meetcoins:
​
Meetcoins are credits used to send and accept invitations.
​

Each user receives one free Meetcoin per month from the date their account is created.

Meetcoins do not expire but are personal and non-transferable.

Meetcoins cannot be sold, transferred, or exchanged between users.

Meetmate is not responsible for lost Meetcoins due to cancellations or misunderstandings.
Purchases and Refund Policy:

Payments for Meetcoins are processed securely through Stripe, a third-party payment provider.

Once a Meetcoin purchase is completed, the payment is non-refundable under any circumstances.

Meetmate is not responsible for erroneous payments caused by user mistakes, such as incorrect input of payment details or unintentional purchases.

Any issues related to payment processing should be directed to Stripe.
Code of Conduct:

Meetmate aims to provide a positive experience for all users.
The following are strictly prohibited:

Posting offensive, discriminatory, violent, or misleading content.

Using the app for illegal or fraudulent activities.

Creating multiple accounts with the same phone number.
Age Restrictions for Invitations:

When sending an invitation, users must adhere to the following age restrictions:

Bar Category: Invitations can only be sent to individuals aged 21 and above.

All Other Categories: Invitations can be sent to individuals aged 18 and above.
These restrictions are in place to ensure compliance with legal requirements and to maintain a safe and respectful environment within the app.

Meetmate reviews user reports within 24 to 48 hours. If the report is legitimate, the reporting user will recover their and receive one additional Meetcoin as compensation.
If the report is not justified, the reporting user will lose their Meetcoin and receive a warning. Repeated violations may result in account suspension or deletion.

Misuse of Groups and Communities:

Meetmate provides the ability to create and join groups or communities for shared interests. Users must adhere to the following guidelines:

Content within groups and communities must respect the platform’s code of conduct, avoiding offensive, discriminatory, violent, or illegal materials.

Groups or communities must not be used for spamming, advertising, or promoting external services without prior consent from Meetmate Group LLC.
Meetmate reserves the right to monitor group activity and take action against any misuse, including removing offensive content, dissolving groups, and suspending or deleting accounts of those responsible.

Account Suspension and Deletion:

Meetmate reserves the right to suspend or delete accounts that violate these terms. If your account is suspended, you will not be able to access it for one week. Your Meetcoins will remain intact, and you will be notified of the suspension via email. A future violation may result in permanent account deletion.

Privacy and Security:
​
Meetmate collects and uses personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy. While we take measures to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security.
For your safety, we recommend coordinating meetings in public places and during the day. Meetmate is not responsible for events that occur during meetings organized through the app.
User Responsibility:

Users are solely responsible for the accuracy of the information they provide in their profiles and invitations. Users must behave respectfully and responsibly when interacting with others through the app. Meetmate is not liable for disputes or issues arising from user interactions or the accuracy of user-provided information.

Prohibition of Commercial Use:
Meetmate is intended for personal use only. Users are prohibited from using the app for commercial purposes, such as advertising, selling products, or promoting services, without prior written consent from Meetmate Group LLC.

Force Majeure:

Meetmate shall not be held responsible for any failure or delay in performance caused by circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, internet outages, technical failures, or governmental actions.

Limitation of Liability:
​
Meetmate is not responsible for:
​

The accuracy of information provided by users.

Problems or incidents during meetings organized through the app.
-
Locations being closed or out of service when selected by users.
-
Cancellations of invitations or meetings.
-
Errors in payments made by users.
Mandatory Arbitration and Dispute Resolution:

If a dispute arises between you and Meetmate related to your use of the app or these Terms and Conditions, both parties agree to resolve the dispute through binding arbitration rather than in court. Arbitration will be conducted under the rules of the American Arbitration Association (AAA) and will take place in Miami, Florida, unless otherwise agreed upon by both parties.
By agreeing to arbitration:

You waive your right to a trial by jury or to participate in class actions.

The arbitrator’s decision will be final and binding, and judgment on the award may be entered in any court with jurisdiction.
This arbitration clause does not apply to claims related to intellectual property infringement or any other claims where injunctive relief is sought by Meetmate.

If you wish to initiate arbitration, you must first provide written notice to Meetmate at support@meetmate.app, outlining the dispute and allowing 30 days for a resolution before arbitration proceedings begin.

Governing Law and Dispute Resolution:

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, United States. In case of disputes not resolved through arbitration, please contact us at support@meetmate.app before pursuing legal action.
