How to Send an Invitation?

It’s as easy as 1-2-3!

-
Pick a category: Whether it’s a cafe, restaurant, or even "Hang Out" (no specific location needed), start by choosing where or how you want to meet.
-
Add the details: Fill out a quick form with what you’d like to do, plus the age range and gender of your ideal meetup buddy.
-
Hit send and relax: Your invite will go out to nearby users who match your preferences and share at least one common interest. Then, just wait for someone to accept and get ready to connect!
Once a user accepts your invitation, a chat will open so you can coordinate the details of your meetup!

We recommend always double-checking the location’s hours to ensure it’s open at the time of your meeting.

after you’ve sent an invitation, you can view it under "Invitations" → "Sent."
If someone accepts your invitation, it will automatically move to the "Invitations" → "Accepted" section, where you can track it with ease.
Connecting has never been this fun and effortless, so what are you waiting for?
Where do I receive invitations?

You can view your received invitations by going to "Invitations" → "Received." Simply tap on the invitation, and you’ll have the option to accept it!
When you accept an invitation, it will automatically move to the "Invitations" → "Accepted" section, where you can view all the details and prepare for your meetup.
What happens after I send an invitation?

At Meetmate, every invitation you send is important and gets the attention it deserves! While your invitation is in progress, you won’t be able to send another or receive any, because we prioritize the connection you’re creating.
If you’d like to send a new invitation or start receiving proposals from other users, you can easily delete your current invitation at any time. And if no one accepts your invitation within 30 minutes, it will automatically expire, allowing you to send a new one or receive invitations from others.
It’s all about keeping things simple, meaningful, and ensuring the best experience for everyone. 😊
How can I delete an invitation?

You can delete an invitation in two easy ways:
-
Through the menu: Simply go to "Menu," select "Invitations," and then "Sent."
-
Using the shortcut: Tap the bell icon in the top-right corner, which gives you direct access to "Invitations."
Once inside the "Sent" section, you’ll see your invitation with a "Delete" button on the right. Just confirm your action, and it’s done!
If you receive an invitation, it will appear under "Invitations" → "Received," where you’ll also have the option to decline it.

Can I cancel an accepted invitation?

we value commitment to accepted invitations and encourage users to follow through with their plans. That’s why we use a credit system called Meetcoin.
Here’s how it works:

-
When you accept an invitation or your invitation is accepted, one Meetcoin is automatically deducted.
-
If you decide to cancel an accepted invitation, you can do so, but you’ll lose the Meetcoin used for that meetup, and it won’t be refunded.
-

This system ensures mutual commitment between users and encourages them to honor their plans.
For the user who experiences the cancellation, their Meetcoin will be automatically refunded, along with an extra Meetcoin as compensation for the inconvenience.
It’s a fair and balanced way to promote accountability and make every meetup meaningful!
Why can’t I send invitations at certain times?
At Meetmate, your safety is our priority—think of it as our middle name! We believe it’s important to be mindful of the time and place when planning a meetup. That’s why we’ve restricted the ability to send invitations for certain categories during specific hours.
Here’s the schedule for when each category is available:
-
Ice cream shop: 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM
-
Hang out: No restrictions (feel free to hang out anytime!)
-
Park: 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM
-
Burger: 9:00 AM to 11:00 PM
-
Restaurant: 9:00 AM to 11:00 PM
-
Pizza: 9:00 AM to 11:00 PM
-
Bar: 12:00 PM to 11:00 PM
-
Beach: 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM
-
Shopping mall: 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM
-
Cafe: 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM
-
By aligning categories with logical timeframes, Meetmate ensures that your meetups are not only fun but also safe and convenient. Because at the end of the day, your experience matters and we want it to be amazing!
Meetmate recommends checking the hours of certain places—they might be closed! Better safe than sorry, right?
How does Hang Out work?
Hang Out gives you the freedom to create an invitation without choosing a specific place! Starting from your current location, you can send an invite to users within your selected radius.
Simply fill out a quick form with:

-
A brief description of what you’d like to do (like going to the movies, bowling, or just hanging out!).
-
The age range and gender of the person you’d like to meet.
It’s flexible and packed with possibilities, perfect for spontaneous plans or fun activities.
Just send your invite, and let the good times roll!
What happens if someone accepts my invitation but doesn’t follow through?
We understand that not everyone follows through, and sometimes users may affect the experience of others. While we’re not here to judge, we are committed to handling these situations effectively to protect our community and maintain a positive environment.
If a user accepts your invitation but doesn’t respond in the chat or fails to show up at the agreed location, you can report them.

How to report a user:

-
Go to "Invitations" → "Accepted."
-
Click on the specific invitation.
-
Tap the lock icon on the right side of their profile picture.
-
Select the option "Absence" and provide a brief summary of what happened.
-
Attach a screenshot of the chat as required proof to support your report.
By submitting a report, you agree to allow Meetmate to use this information to review and resolve the issue.

Report outcomes:

-
If the report is valid, you’ll automatically get your Meetcoin back, and Meetmate will take appropriate action against the reported user, including the loss of their Meetcoin.
-
If the report is found to be false or unjustified, Meetmate reserves the right to take action against the reporting user to maintain fairness within the community.
Our goal is to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone, and we’re dedicated to handling issues fairly and professionally.
